SMSC's Quality Policy

SMSC's quality policy is to supply products that meet or exceed the quality and reliability requirements of its customers on time and at competitive prices.

SMSC's environmental policy is to first recognize and to then minimize the potential environmental impact of our products through employee education, sound design practices, effective quality management and participation of suppliers.

SMSC's Quality System

SMSC places emphasis on adequate control over all activities affecting quality and reliability to prevent non-conformity at all process steps. From customer specification review through design, development, and manufacturing, SMSC commits itself to continuous quality improvement programs that will drive us towards our goal of exceeding customer requirements and expectations.

Failure Analysis

The purpose of SMSC's Failure Analysis Group is to perform root cause analysis or defect identification on customer returned devices. Customer returns are tracked under the Customer Corrective Action Request (CCAR) System.
