SMSC Unveils Comprehensive Suite of MOST Network Analysis Tools

HAUPPAUGE, NY, August 17, 2007 - SMSC (Nasdaq: SMSC) reached a new milestone in enhancing its popular and powerful OptoLyzer®G2 30xx family, the innovative and comprehensive Network Analysis platform for both MOST25 and MOST50 networks. Various new features and capabilities for working efficiently and economically are now available with the new V1.4.0 release of the OptoLyzer Suite's graphical user interface.

An improved file feeder enhances recorded trace file analysis. For example, a trace file can now be imported into the OptoLyzer Suite and High Level Protocols such as AMS, MOST High and MAMAC are now supported in this use case. In addition, the data can be fed into the Viewer, Recorder, Graph and Watch components.

More detailed project oriented work is also possible with the OptoLyzer Suite's support of storing and/or loading complete workspaces or components (window) settings such as filter, trigger or color. As a result, the user can designate various settings in the OptoLyzer Suite for specific projects.

The OptoLyzer Suite V1.4.0 runs on Windows2000/XP systems with normal user mode and can be upgraded free of charge on SMSC's web site at http://www.smsc-ais.com/OptoLyzer_G2_Downloads.

Vehicle power supply cables for the cigarette lighter or with open ends, allow for easy assembly of the OptoLyzer G2 30xx in a vehicle or test setup. SMSC is offering a voucher for a free MOST Network Analysis Lab session with each OptoLyzer G2 3025o or OptoLyzer G2 3050e purchase. The new versions are expected to be available in September 2007.
